Encountering Grace

I’ve really enjoyed people-watching with you. People are…interesting, right?

It’s one thing to witness an encounter. It’s another thing entirely to have your own. I tried to give you a front row seat to encountering Jesus with these stories. We have analyzed every twist and turn. 

I think it’s so incredible how she went from completely missing it to finally getting it. I know a lot of people who have had similar encounters with God. I’m curious where you’re at. I hope you realize that what was true for her is true for you too.

You don’t have to live a fragmented life. You don’t have to live diminished believing your value is only in what you offer, and that there’s no value in who you are. 

Maybe you’ve been there. 

You’ve been talked about, stabbed in the back, rejected, and made to feel like nothing. 

You’ve felt the pain of burnt bridges and cold shoulders. 

You’ve withered under judgment from others, and it has affected you. 

You have a low opinion of who you are. 

You throw yourself into proving your value through what you have to offer. 

You hope that others value you for who you are because of what you bring them. That diminished way of living isn’t any way to live and Jesus can change that for you like he did for her. 

You don’t have to keep going back to that well. You might feel caught in an empty cycle, where the only reason you stay with it is simply because you know it. Jesus fixes that too. This is what helped the Woman at the Well get it. The Rich Young Ruler missed it though.

Can I be straight up with you for a minute?

We all search. 

Every single one of us has searched for what fulfills the soul. The truth is, there are things that can help make the search feel fulfilled and yet still not truly satisfy. The reason I wrote this book is because I believe there’s only one truly fulfilling answer.
